Magic Rain Logo

I met the owner of the jewellery store Magic rain through working at Specsavers. She is a silver smith and we became good friends, she told me about her sliver jewellery Etsy store and how she wanted to make it into her full time job. She felt that she couldn’t start that dream until she had a website and she couldn’t start a website without a logo. So I decided to help her out a little and got brainstorming.

To start I doodled on post it notes in the office but then I brainstormed on my iPad. Her jewellery has a Gothic side to it but it’s also quite bright and her instagram is full of flowers. She currently has an illustration as her picture but she wants to look more clean and professional now but not losing any of the personality she has gained.

She choose the less complicated version two. The next step was to finalise colour schemes as the purples were just a guess. I also needed to make the procreate file I had been messing around in into a vector artwork for her.

Little Time-lapse for you…

Once I had decided my basic shaping and how I was going to match the R to the G of magic. I knew I had to draw it out so I did in Procreate on iPad, before adding some sparkles and asking the client if she preferred just the big ones or lots of the little sparks.

Below is the final logo used at https://magicrainjewellery.co.uk/ and the colour scheme we created together for her website and future graphics.

She also Commissioned me to do her own website artwork to explain how to measure for a bangle, to help her clients get the perfect bracelet .

Bespoke magic for all.
