Apple Day Posters
In 2018 a local farm owner who has an event in October asked me to create the flyers and artwork for the event; Apple day! I gladly said yes, and gained my first experience as a graphic designer for a client, it was definitely an eye opening experience. However, I must have done a good job as she asked me to do it again the next year and I believe I did a much better job.
So this is the 2018 version, the idea behind it was the apple stickers you get on apples. Apple day is a celebration of lots of different types of apples and the produce that comes from the apples harvested. It is also a festival type event and lots of children from the community come, so the illustrations are designed for them. At the time, I had only been at Uni for a month or so, and I am aware this is not my best work but I think showing my progress is important. Over that one year, what I learnt at Uni, the practice and insight gained from my tutors allowed me to grow. I did much better the year after.
